Crystals to Protect your Energy
As we move around through day-to-day life our energies can get out of balance, making us feel disconnected, out of alignment and even down, unmotivated and overly emotional.
When our own energy isn’t balanced and protected, we are more likely to leak it and/or take on that of our environments and other people – which is why you can often feel out of sorts or drained after time with certain people or in certain places.
Carry any of the crystals mentioned below with you for protection. Or you can use them in an energy grid that you sit or stand inside on days when you know you are going to need some extra protection: placing the crystals in a circle, sit or stand inside the grid, stay here, or even meditate here for 5 to 10 minutes, feeling the crystals create an energetic field that surrounds and protects you.
My go-to for protecting my energy is black tourmaline. Wear this crystal when you are out and about or heading into draining situations to create a shield of protection around you that nothing can penetrate. If my energy feels off at any time, I touch the tourmaline to strengthen the protection and deflect any unwanted energy coming my way.
Another amazing crystal for building a protective shield around you and deflecting any unwanted energies, fire agate is particularly powerful if you ever have to head into situations of conflict or when you feel that people are sending unwarranted judgement or criticism your way. Fire agate helps to return any harm to its original source so that the person responsible can learn from it. Wear or hold your crystal and imagine a shield around your energy. You can also place it by the windows of your home if you have issues with neighbours.
Jet
If you find that you often take on other people’s moods or energies, jet will act as an energetic filter, working to keep these out of your aura.
Labradorite is powerful for making sure there is a protective boundary between you and other people’s emotions and energies. It is especially useful to wear or have with you around those people who always want something from you and drain your energy reserves.
