Bedtime Relaxation Routine

An evening routine before bed is great for sleep troubles.  This not only lets your mind and body know that the time for sleep is coming, but also encourages you to put aside stresses from your day and create a calm space.

One of the best things for deep relaxation before bed is a yoga pose called viparita karani. This deeply restorative pose will help to calm the mind, relieve anxiety and completely relax the entire nervous system. Just add crystals and you’re on a one-way street to deep relaxation like never before.

How to do it:
1. Decide which crystals you want to use and have them close by.

2. Sit on the floor with one hip flush against a wall.

3. Gently swing your legs around, until they are up the wall with the backs of your thighs  resting against it. Make sure your buttocks are as close to the wall as possible and your arms are down by your sides, palms facing up.

4. Place the relevant crystals on your body. You may even cover yourself with a blanket, too, and put an eye pillow over your eyes, if desired.

5. Stay in this position for 10–15 minutes, before slowly lowering yourself down to lie on
your back.

While you are here, you may place sodalite or amethyst on your third eye to bring peace of mind, rose quartz on your heart or moonstone on your sacral chakra to soothe your emotions, and even hold a crystal of your choosing in each hand to feel the connection to the healing energy.
